Surf's Up Restaurant in Mount Prospect - Part-time Cook
Surf's Up Restaurant in Mount Prospect has quickly become a beloved local hangout spot at Randhurst Village known for its fresh, surf-inspired fare and beachy ambiance. We are currently seeking a passionate and creative part-time Cook to join our vibrant team. If you have a love for cooking and a knack for producing delightful, memorable dishes in a bustling beachside setting, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
Preparing and cooking dishes in line with our menu and customer preferences, while maintaining our high standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
Ensuring all ingredients are fresh, and food storage areas are properly organized and maintained.
Adhering to all safety and cleanliness standards, including proper handling of food and use of kitchen equipment.
Working with the rest of the kitchen team to deliver a seamless dining experience for our customers.
Offering creativity to suggest and develop new specials.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant setting.
Demonstrable knowledge of various cooking techniques and styles.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a food preparation environment.
Strong multitasking skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
A passion for food and a creative approach to cuisine.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays.
Our hours are Mon-Sat: 11:00am-9:00pm (closed on Sundays and no late night hours)
