The Taste of Des Plaines 2025

Get ready to savor the start of summer in Des Plaines at the Taste of Des Plaines 2025! This two-day street festival is back at Library Plaza—right by the Metra station—on Father’s Day weekend, Friday, June 13 (5 p.m.–11 p.m.) and Saturday, June 14 (12 p.m.–11 p.m.). Admission? 🎟️ Free for all!

  • 5–6:30 p.m.: Whiskey Road – a lively mix of rock & country

  • 7–8:30 p.m.: Terry Byrne Band – Americana, folk & Irish rock

  • 9–11 p.m.: 7th Heaven – 70s/80s pop rock anthems 

• Saturday

  • 1–2:30 p.m.: Teen Summer Concert featuring Girls on Film & Lund Surk, hosted by the library

  • 3–4:30 p.m.: Out Late – 90s & 2000s throwbacks

  • 5–6:30 p.m.: Fearless – Taylor Swift tribute

  • 7–8:30 p.m.: LOUDERNOW – emo/pop punk

Pierogi Truck, Serna's Grill, and Kona Ice. With options for vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free diets, there's something satisfying for every palate. 

Heads up: The event is completely cashless—food, drinks, and beer tent purchases require card or mobile payment. No outside alcohol allowed, but beer, wine, and seltzers are available inside.

🚗 Getting There & Logistics

• Free parking: Library Garage, Civic Center Garage, Metropolitan Square Garage; accessible spaces and bike racks available

• Metra UP‑NW line drops you right at the festival

• Office road closures from June 12–15; plan ahead and allow extra travel time 

• Rain or shine: Canopies are up, so bring ponchos just in case

• Dog-friendly: Leashed pups (up to 2 per handler) are welcome
